Congratulations to Jared Ruckman, the department’s first Clinical Systems Engineering Manager!

Jared joined the department in 2011 as a Clinical Engineer after completing his Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering through the Clinical Engineering Program at the University of Connecticut. His passion and abilities in the area of clinical IT systems, as well as his skills at navigating the IS organization, building relationships with its many divisions and an effective partnership between our departments, led to Jared becoming our first Senior Clinical Systems Engineer in 2017.  As the volume and complexity of biomedical device integration and clinical IT systems interfacing has grown, and the demands on our department in supporting them continues to increase, so too must our organizational structure and competency grow to meet it.  In the coming months, Jared will be working to build our Clinical Systems Engineering team that will include a full-time Clinical Systems Engineer and a Biomedical Systems Administrator.
